Private Sucia Island Adventures 

Home to unique geology, abundant wildlife, incredible coastlines, tidepools and fossils, Sucia Island is commonly regarded as the crown jewel of the San Juan Islands. Orcas Wild is proud to offer the oppertunity to explore this remote state park in a variety of ways. Hike Sucia Islands expansive 11 miles of trails, or kayak its coastlines with guided and un-guided trips. 

Sucia Island Hiking Trip (self-guided): Join your boat captain for a powerboat ride over from Orcas Island before arriving at fossil bay. Learn more about the islands history and its trail system with a 20-30 minute breifing on the unique destinations and routes to explore from your knowledgble boat captain! With your plan in place and a map to guide the way, embark on a self guided 4-5 hiking tour of the island. 

Sucia Island Kayak Trip (self-guided): Want to explore by sea instead? Take a powerboat ride over to sucia island before being outfitted with one of our capable sea kayaks. Much like the hiking tour, your boat captain will suggest routes, point out unique destinations, history and wildlife you may incounter along your paddle. Paddle Sucias Coastline and explore its remote beaches.

Sucia Island Kayak Tour (guide included): Enjoy a powerboat ride, 3-4 hours of guided kayak exploration and a charcuterie lunch with locally sourced ingredients. Explore Sucias’ unique coastlines, hunt for fossils, and circumnavigate the island if conditions allow, all with your knowledgeble guide sharing their love for Sucia Island!
